Well, it was a crafty weekend. I dusted my sewing machine off and did a few projects. This project was really cool. It is reminiscent of a Batik fabric dying technique. Have you ever done the craft where you use crayons to make a picture, then brush paint over it and the wax in the crayon resists the paint? It always looks cool. This project is kind of like that.
Here's your supplies to do this project:
Gel glue
Fabric dye
(yep, that's it.)
So get a white tee (or any other item you might want to dye) and write a design on it with the gel glue. Here's pics of ours (a giraffe and elephant). Wait for the glue design to dry.
Prepare your fabric dye and soak your shirts in them.
Rinse them and see the reveal.
The glue resists the dye and your design will look awesome!

Your shirts look awesome! This project has so many possibilites...thank you so much for sharing how you did your cute Ts.
I'd forgotten all about using gel glue as a resist. I love your shirts and am excited to give the technique a try.
What a fun idea! Definitely going to keep this in mind for a project sometime.
